It’s not very often that a proficient brush player makes their way through Drumeo, so you could imagine how excited I was when I found out Florian Alexandru-Zorn was going to be giving us a visit. Not only did he lay down the fundamentals for playing with brushes, he also gave us a jaw-dropping performance of these concepts in action.
Dave Weckl has been quoted as saying brush playing is a “lost art”, but Florian Alexandru-Zorn is doing a convincing job keeping it alive.
